I have discovered The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) around the year 1998 or 1999, it was the only free photo and imaging application which was able to do almost the same kind of photo and image editing or retouching with drawing… not working in Ubuntu 32bit :( file path same but file different - .bmp rather than .png.
